    1. When we work hand on hand with other groups, whether it’s local or international we surely gain advantages from it. One of the benefits is we learn from it. An international linkage unlocks the potential of people to address critical global issues through international education, exchange, and development programs. They can provide us the things we need, like scholarships for those students who are good in school and that in need and provide us necessary school supplies. Build a school building or library, etc.

DepEd is connected with some NGO’s who lend a hand to educate and support poor children. Such are the local foundations who go to far places in our country and provide students with school supplies and some additional school buildings or what’s in need.

As a teacher how can you address the problems of diversity among your learners?

    2. The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect of the teacher towards her students. It means understanding that each individual is unique. As an educator we must always respect and enjoy a wide range of cultural and individual differences of our students, thereby including everybody. ♥

Since education worldwide is continuously evolving especially in the first world countries, a third-world country like ours need constant link to outside resources to keep us updated with academics. That is why a lot of our local educators are spending time in having educational trainings abroad so that it can be shared locally since not all teachers and students have the resources to have additional schooling abroad. Another benefit of having a link with other countries with regards to education is that first world-countries can provide us educational aid/donations for our government cannot procure the much needed updated resources like textbooks. Just recently DepEd approved 12 senior students from Cebu City National Science High School in an International Student Exchanged Program to be held in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. This program will definitely boost not just the self-esteem of the student for they believe that they can compete with international students but also their academic achievement for they will be able to learn outside their typical classroom and learning environment. This will also provide them learning experiences that cannot be learned nor experienced here.

    2. As a teacher how can you address the problems of diversity among your learners?

It is very important to learn the different cultures of our students so that misunderstanding between the students and teachers will be avoided. During the first day of class a teacher will already have an idea of his/her students as to their ethnic and cultural background, so the teacher must immediately do a research on their background. A teacher must always be an excellent mediator whenever misunderstandings arise between the students. It is also important to teach your students the importance of respecting one’s belief and culture so they’ll learn to respect each other.

  3. 1. The benefits we gain from education when linked with local and international organizations is that it gives us the advantage to gain more awareness with other countries and make acquaintances with other foreign people that would give a broader view of the world and cultural understanding. One way of linking with organizations locally or internationally is by letting them know or identify our needs. In connection to DepEd, they support schools especially public schools to improve their programs and project that the school would like to implement.

    2. The diversity of learners includes different areas that teachers must be aware of if they want to supply their student’s needs and interests. We can also gain from them because they are able to support our country by giving our needs. Teachers should know what teaching styles they would use to their students. Teachers should also easily determine those students with exceptionalities, or those who are different in some way from the normal or average to be able to give more understanding and patience to achieve their full potential and development.

  4. There are hundreds of benefits if we affiliate to local and international organizations. We register our group to the government at that time we also register to the department of education respectively. Once it has been recognized, we present our mission, vision and goals to local organizations. Afterwards, this would be a good start to have our group under international organizations.
Having the group to be affiliated to local and international organizations, we are becoming more globally competitive to the demands of our society. We become united with the same aim to each student, to provide a better education for all. We got to achieve more realistic goals and speed up the help that we could get from all over the world. The latest researches and innovations developed countries have are being transferred over to our group effectively if we will be under their tree. Not only that, we would be able to have more resources, one good example is being in partner with private sectors or companies, hence we will be able to reach more population who needs our help.
More of a concrete example is the partnership of the DepEd is with UNESCO. This is one of the largest organization who implements in the field of education. The most recent was FIRST NATIONAL INNOVATION CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION (NICE 2012) which was held just today in Tagaytay City, where it aims to prepare youth for decent jobs and better future. Another one is the Small and BDO group foundation who gives budget to DepEd so we can provide a larger scope of population in meeting our goals.

    2. As every individual is unique, we must accept each and everyone’s attitude. There’s always a deep meaning why people has their own indifferences. As being students of we have learnt about different values and cultures, then as we advance to our studying we learnt psychology and sociology. Giving us a deeper understanding of people’s individuality. As teachers, one of the vital attributes that we should have for this not to be a hindrance to provide learning to our students and keeping us from our goals. Act accordingly and appropriate to your students, be neutral or perhaps do not be biased on acting to such situations. There are code of ethics, an instinct of a parent to your student, and values that has been incorporated to you will guide you. As the saying goes,” being a teacher is a noble profession.”

  6. 1.The school can enjoy linkages and networking activities with international, national and local organizations in the community for mutual benefits and assistance needed. The step the school needed is to prepare a list of projects and activities it plans to undertake including the much-needed assistance in terms of human and material resources, then determine the institutions and organization with parallel objectives and service.Linkages create bonds together to solicit support and assistance for purposeful activities which could be facilitated faster and better considering the doubling of energy and resources. Such as teacher competence improvement, foundation, reading materials donation.

2.Actually, the concept of the class content maybe all the same. But the different is the learners impossible identical. There must be diversity among your class. So how to convey the knowledge well is the question as a teacher you must think of. You have to chose a appropriate way to make sure every learns can understand you exactly. To know your students and constantly communicate are the better ways to use.

  7. 1. Linking and networking with local and international organizations holds a lot of advantages for education. It provides opportunities for students and faculty alike that help enrich their learning or teaching experience. Some linkages help provide further education opportunities locally or abroad, or help in funding researches or studies. Other networks help in donating infrastructure or materials (e.g. partnerships with production networks in creating educational instructional materials like EPOL, APPLE; MATH-TINIK; SINE-SKWELA, that are used in the public schools.)
To be able to make the link or join a network, the school must prepare the list of their goals, projects and activities. Next is to determine which private or government institution has the same goal or programs. Once they have chosen, they can present their proposal and start meeting the requirements of that institution.

    2. As a teacher, one should learn how to appreciate and accommodate the similarities and differences among the students. Identify the differences in a positive manner. This can then be a basis for the development of effective communication and instructional strategies. She can also model, teach or reinforce social skills to her students like respect and cross-cultural understanding, so they in turn could also do such to their fellow students.

  8. When we link and network with local and international organizations, we can benefit a lot. First of all, education does not only belong to school. Education should be the responsibility of the whole society. If only schools take the responsibilities, we can’t do many things. Fund for education is the major issue. Schools need the money to carry out better education. If we link our schools with local organizations or international organizations, they may provide us with some funds. Normally speaking, those organizations need to spend their money doing things. If we link with them, and we provide them with our best skills and technologies, they would be very grateful to us. Schools have good labs and we can do many experiments to help them prove something, i.e. We can provide them with what they want and what they need.)
Another reason is that if both sides (schools and local organizations take the responsibilities of educating students, we might work out the same curriculum and programs together which should be useful in the future. They know well what the society needs and they can tell us what we should learn and what we should be prepared. Without their guidance, schools may produce somebody who is not needed by the companies or local organizations. If we are told about certain standards, we can add certain contents to our training and to our courses. We can make a necessary turn or change to our textbooks in order not to waste much time doing what is not needed by the society.
The final reason is that with the help of the local and international organizations, we are not alone doing the education. We are a team which is great and powerful. If education is only done by schools, it lacks of powerful support.
    The necessary steps are:
    1) We should go and talk to the local and international organizations and find out what they need from our schools. What type of students they need in the near future? If we could find out the basis needs of them, we may start training our students to meet their requests.
    2) We should then establish good relationships with the local and international organizations and form a good relation. Invite them to be part of our school board. Invite them to speak for the local and international organizations.
    3) We may work out a common research program which could be funded by the local organizations.
    4) We may reach a certain agreement to have some exchange programs. Let some teachers work in their organizations for some time and let certain people from theirs also work at school for some time in order to know each other better.
    5) Considering the cooperation between both sides, our students will certainly enhance their horizons and have more opportunities to meet people from different walks of life and let students be familiar with the society earlier to a certain extent.

    2.
As a teacher, we should all know that the students come from different backgrounds, different social status with different economic situations. Students’ parents educations and schoolings make a great difference on their children. The diversity is greater nowadays due to the opening policy of international students joining the local school learning. Within each class, there would be no longer the same group of students with the same economic backgrounds or with the same financial situations.
In our teachers’ mind, we should always keep those in mind and be fair to each student. In class, we should treat them equally and give all the students the equal chances.
Meanwhile as a teacher we should create the atmosphere of helping each other, caring each individual and always help the needy ones. In teaching, we can give simple tasks to the weak students and complex tasks to the excellent students. We can form groups containing strong and weak students together. We teachers should assign the tasks according to their abilities. Never discourage and ignore the weak ones and at the same time encourage the super ones to do a better job.
